14'7" DH
I'm not looking at this as some
lucrative-get-rich-plan. I just enjoy having something to do
with my time and it so happens that my boat turned out awesome.
I will only build 4-6 Duckhunter's per year. There is only one
thing to be said about my work, Quality! I guarantee your
satisfaction. I will have roughly 120-150 hours in your boat.
I will try to accommodate requests for modifications if feasible. I guarantee that if this is the type of boat you are
searching for I will go out my way to make sure you have a boat that
you will proud of! I make sure that I do the little things to
make the boat stand out and have a more commercial finish. I
don't know how many times I've been asked where I bought the boat or
what company makes them.
I have hunted my boat hard since completion in 2003 and have no issues with the way it performed. The boat
is stable as a rock. I regularly hunted 2 adults with dog and
4-5 dozen decoys comfortably. This is an easy boat to camo, as you
can see from the pictures, and is very low profile.
This is a very unique boat that will
get many looks and comments at the ramp. The wood construction also
provides insulation against frigid water compared to aluminum.
This will be a quality built boat that will last for years with
minimal maintenance.
While I use the boat primarily for
duck hunting it provides a stable fishing platform as well. I
am located about 45 minutes north of Charlotte, NC if you are
interested in seeing my boat first hand/or going for a test run.
I will work with you on any modifications you would like done to the design, for reference I have installed depth finders, relocated gas tanks, added splash wells, etc...

Wood, screws & hardware. The

3M 5200 Marine Adhesive (arguably the best
adhesive/sealant on the market)

7.5oz fiberglass tape (entire exterior will be fiberglassed
including fiberglass tape on all the seams; the interior will be
coated in epoxy and painted)
-
electrical ( 3 conveniently
located auxiliary plugs, bilge pump, running lights, marine tinned wire, all
connections either soldered and heat shrinked or with butt
connectors and dielectric grease)
-
fused rocker panel control
for running lights, interior LEDs , driving lights
& bilge pump
-
battery mounting tray and battery
quick-connects
-
Rattle Guard Spray-In bedliner on the floor
of cockpit and both compartments, which further waterproofs the
interior as well as adding traction and protection from gas & oil
-
lockable, dry front storage
-
custom aluminum transom
bracket/plate that serves to strengthen transom, distribute motor
weight and allow the motor to be shimmed to the correct height
-
2 part marine foam in the
fore and aft compartments to provide emergency floatation
- Graphite coated bottom, super slick!
-
Lock, Stock and Barrell flat marine enamel and my custom camo pattern.
Also Included:
- LED Strip Lights
An awesome addition, 7 LED strip lights,
five in the main cockpit, one in the rear storage compartment
and one in the front storage compartment. Never have to
use a flashlight to see the interior of your boat again!
These lights put out an amazing amount of light and draw very
little power. These pictures were made in complete darkness with
only the LED's illuminating the interior of the boat.

- Driving/Fog Lights
Great for early morning runs and not having to continuously and
unsafely operate a spotlight and an outboard at the same time.

- Cockpit Cover
Hard cover for use if the boat is going to be
stored outdoors to keep water/leaves/debris from filling the
cockpit.

- Flapper Boards
These allow you to conceal yourself even further as well as add
additional decoy carrying capacity outside of the cockpit.
Just grass with local vegetation to make for a nice flip down
blind. With the flappers down it would be easy to carry a
dozen and a half goose floaters on each side. Once they
are in place, just bungee them down.

- Movable Shell and Drink
Holders
Shell and drink holder that attaches to the
coaming. Room for a box of shells and
your favorite coffee mug.
Includes 2

Movable Running seat

Payment:
All boats will be pre-sold
(no inventory on hand). A $ 2000 down-payment shall be due up front and
the remaining cost shall be due upon delivery/pickup of the boat. General
build time will be approximately 2 months.
I will accept Mastercard/Visa
through Paypal, however there will be a 3% charge to cover the fees associated
with Paypal.
I will deliver or
meet for a reasonable fee. If you would like to have the
boat shipped, I will handle freighting obligations on this end at the buyers
expense.
North Carolina
Buyers are responsible for 3% sales tax.
The buyer will be
responsible for furnishing a trailer and motor. I can, however, purchase a
trailer locally at the buyer's expense. The best source I've found for
trailers is AK McCallum out of Fayetteville, NC. This is for a Road King galvanized
trailer (including frame, wheels, axle & fenders), rated for 1000 lbs, 12 inch
wheels with auto lube hubs, carpeted bunks, winchand fully wired including waterproof lights at a price of $749 (no tax as it will be
paid when you title the trailer). I charge $150 (subject to change with
the gas prices...lol) if you would like me to
pick this trailer up, as this a 6 hour round trip.
