I'm proud to say call maker, Chris Tester of Lexington NC is a good friend of mine who turns some not only beautiful calls but some of the best sounding calls I've come across. On Chris's behalf I offered to post some pictures of his work here on TBW as a tribute to the quality and craftsmanship of his work.
All Mallard calls are single reed wood calls. Bands can either be no band, brass band, or aluminum band. Calls are hand turned and hand tuned one at a time. They will be built on an as ordered basis in typically 2-4 weeks but may vary depending on work load. Mallard call prices are $75 for all woods except Black wood which is $90.
Woodie calls are typically in stock and ready to ship. The call is a reed style call and not a whistle. It produces a high pitch whine of a wood duck. They are $15 each.
